NIM CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP

The NIM Chess Championship was launched in 2025 with a bold vision , to create a professional platform for competitive chess in Nigeria.

Following a successful debut edition, the 2026 championship takes a major leap forward as a FIDE-rated tournament, attracting stronger players, higher stakes, and greater recognition.

The 2026 Edition is a two-day event, 20 mins +30secs added after each move; all players will be mandated to record moves.
